A True Friend

For as long as I can remember the only kind of sandwich (besides a McD's hamburger) that my five year old grandson would eat was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

This past weekend we watched all three of the boys so their parents could go away for the weekend. That meant we had to pack their lunches and send them off to school this morning. I was a little surprised to see baloney and cheese in his lunch bag (which as to his instruction I added both catsup and mustard.) He was very excited to have a meat sandwich which meant that he could now sit by his best friend. Couldn't figure out what this had to do with where he got to sit at lunch time.

Apparently, his best friend has a peanut allergy. So, he wanted to be with his friend and he is willing to give up peanut and butter sandwiches for the rest of the school year. Now that is a true friend.
