Yarn Bombing

Until a few weeks ago I had never heard of yarn bombing (I live in rural Pa. remember.)  I had to look it up and was pretty impressed with how elaborate some of these are.  Basically, yarn bombing is covering public items with something knitted, crocheted or woven.

Since the parking ramp in Oil City closed down, parking has been an issue.  So, some artists decided to yarn bomb some of the parking meters on the North Side of town.  The pictures are located outside the Transit building.  I even hear that the statue of Cornplanter now has a leg warmer.

Between the painted rocks showing up around town and the meter warmers, the city is starting to look "arty."
