The Business of business
I'm a teacher and not a business woman. At least that is what I used to be but that roll is changing with Ally's Art. Now I have to think differently and for an old gal like me that isn't easy. So..... I went to an informational meeting tonight for a class in business. Scary! But, it sounds like it will be fun and very beneficial. A former classmate was there and a former student, plus some fellow co-artists from the Transit Studios. Right now I feel like I am flying blind, even though I've been at this since November. Hopefully, this will straighten me out or at least keep me from crashing!

I know just what you mean about the business of business. I was laid off my job in June and have decided to make a go of the jewelry business and forget the corporate world. Its scary but exciting too.
BTW... my lamps are regular clip on desk lamps with 60 watt incandescent bulbs. It seems to be doing very well so far. I'll be posting new blog pics soon as well as new Etsy listings.
Thanks for following me, your work is beautiful. As are your grandchildren!
Thanks Michele. I tried to photograph some earrings tonight. Hung them over a goblet, as I've seen others do. Some turned out and some didn't. There are several photographers in the building where I have my studio. I may just have to hire one to teach me how to photograph my work; something I can use on my Etsy site. If I want a picture to enter a show or contest, I will have them do it. Alice
