Birdhouse

After a week of weaving with colors that aren't my favorite, I was ready for some color. So, my birdhouse got plenty of color.

Thirty bird houses will be prizes in a raffle that will benefit the Rails to Trails program. They are being painted by local artists who have donated their talent and materials. I've seen five other houses so far and there is so much variety.

I saw the birdhouse as a canvas to paint on. Others created miniature houses with detailed roofs, windows, siding and walkways. I'm hoping that whoever gets my birdhouse will put it in their flower garden.

My house has a jewelry motif, suggestive of a strand of pearls, beads and actual glass gems are glued onto the house.

Now I can get back to jewelry!
