No Grandma

This little guy is the next to the youngest of my grandchildren.  One would swear he was his Dad incarnated.  After our Thanksgiving dinner today, we were sitting around looking at pictures.  My children were sharing their childhood pictures with their children.  Every time we showed Cody a picture of his Dad, we asked him who it was.  That's me he said.  It sure looks like him.

A few weeks ago I took Cody and his cousin Olivia to the library.  Cody went right over to a shelf, picked up a book and said this is the one I want.  (Olivia spent an hour looking for just the right book.  She ended up with several Angelina Ballerina books.)  While she was looking, Cody sat down by a box of blocks and began to build.  As I passed by him, I thought something smelled a little funky.  So, I asked him  if he needed to go potty.  Without raising his head he said, "No Grandma, you'll have to go by yourself."

A little later in the week I was watching all the boys and their friends after school when Chad stopped to pick up his son Drew.  Chad asked Cody where his Mom was.  "Picking up my brothers Dad."  Chad and I started to laugh.  Isn't their Dad your Dad?   "No."  Oh, okay Cody what is your Dad's name.   (Cody) "He's bald."  Drew looked at his Dad and said "Dad, you're bald."

Never a dull moment.  He keeps us in stitches.  Out of the mouth of babes!

Love it! My favorite grandson story: He was 3 years old and too quiet, so his mother and I went to his room to check on him. He was standing with his hands on his hips, buck naked, except for his his Superman cape. When we started giggling he asked "What? Is my cape on wrong?"

Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.
